A Satanist For 33 Years Changes His Life When A Book Mysteriously Appeared In Prison Cell
A former satanist, who devoted his life to satan for 33 years, found freedom in Christ when he read a book in his prison cell. Mysteriously, he did not know where the book came from, but it changed his life forever.
Satanist for 33 years
Brian Cole revealed his spiritual turnabout on the final episode of “The Playing With Fire Podcast.” Although he was introduced to the church at a young age, he really did not know his identity in Jesus. Moreover, his bad experiences with his abusive father and bullying classmates led him to get involved with “other kids.”
“They were talking to me, and they were paying attention to me. They weren’t calling me names and beating me down,” he shared.
Soon, he found out that his new friends were into satanism. And so he “wanted to do whatever these kids were doing.”
“One of the first rituals I was in, they were going to sacrifice a squirrel,” he shared. “I told them I would not do that,” since Brian loves animals. But the kids insisted that he had to cut himself because satan demanded blood, so he did. It led to an addiction of cutting and self-mutilation for 33 years.
And since then, Brian went deeper into occultism and ceremonial magic. He confessed, “I got a tattoo of a cross … on the bottom of my left foot so I could stomp on God whenever I walked.”
Brian did not believe in God. Although he believed in Satan, he never believed Jesus existed. He thought the Bible was just a mythology book, and he was into the business of hating Christians.
Because of his crimes, Brian was also in and out of prison. When he turned 44 years old and was again back in a prison cell, Cole wanted to end his life.
“I had tried to commit suicide … I just didn’t want to live anymore.”
Wanting to change his life for the better, Brian opened the Bible and explored it cautiously. He was skeptical about it, but he continued reading anyway.
Freedom in Christ
Until one day, he found a book lying on his prison room’s floor. It was “The Case for Christ” by Lee Strobel. It detailed the author’s journey from atheism to faith in Jesus.
“When I got done with that book, I could no longer deny the fact that Jesus existed on this earth,” he said.
He has been searching for the Truth, and the truth has found him. It set him free from his addictions and involvement in occultism. Today, Brian is now a pastor, and Christ has forever transformed his life.
“This has set me free in so many ways I can’t even explain it,” he said.
